Questions people ask

What if I feel unsafe in a bar?

Tell the bar staff or door security straight away. They deal with it more often than you'd think and can help you leave, call a taxi or call the Gardaí. In an emergency, call 112 or 999 (the same numbers work in Northern Ireland).

Should I share my location with a friend?

Yes, for the evening. Most phones let you share your live location for a set time with one person, then it stops on its own.

What if someone asks me for money?

Stop replying. Requests for money, gift cards or crypto from someone you haven't met are the most common sign of a romance scam. Report the profile to the site.
